11-22-06: The Newton Skatepark message board is now up and running. Please sign up and join in. Use the forum to ask questions, submit ideas, tell us about yourselves, etc...
11-12-06: We sold the ramps that we built for the Newton Day demo and we put another $350.00 in the account!
07-10-06: On June 10th we had our first fundraiser at the Newton Day festivities. It turned out to be a fantastic event and we couldn't be happier about how things turned out. read more... We collected our first $250!
05-08-06: There are lots of new things going on. Last week we filed our 501c3 application for non-profit status. Open up your wallet because we can now start taking donations!
On June 10th we will be having our first fund raising event at Newton Day! Come down to Spring St during the day and see our table. We will be collecting petition signatures, holding 50/50 raffles and promoting the skatepark project to the citizens of Newton. We will be raffling off lots of stuff. We will have multiple complete skateboards up for grabs. Check back with the website soon for more details. In the evening the town has agreed to allow us to setup a mini skatepark and put on a skate demo down at Memory Park. There are going to be bands, food, beer tent, fireworks, and much more! Tell everyone about the event. It should be a good time!
12-02-05: The petition is now on our website and available for download. Go to the Links page and click on the Petition link. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the petition. If you are going to be collecting signatures, please contact Patrick Dierling by phone or email and let him know that you are doing so. We must keep track of all copies of the petition so that we can collect ALL signatures when we take this information to the Town.

11-27-05: A petition has been created and is currently being distributed around Newton. We need to collect as many signatures as possible. If you want a copy of the petition, please contact Patrick Dierling or you can go down to Eccel Board Supply in Newton and pick up a copy. If you do decide to distribute the petition, please notify Patrick Dierling by phone or email.
11-27-05: The website is up! Well... not completely, but its a start. Please excuse the bland appearance of the site. We will be developing a bigger, better, badder version of this site ASAP. Here are some of the plans for upcoming versions of the website:
Online membership sign-ups. A Paypal button for direct donations through the Internet. An online discussion forum.
